Taro taro taro.
I was surprise at how many people are not aware of what taro is! It is a very starchy type of root- similar to a potatoe but not really like it. Taro comes in many form; some are small like an apple and some can be as big as... well you can see. :) I learned today that you can also eat the leaves of the taro too.
There are so many delicious things you can make from taro. You can make, sweet taro pudding, taro cake, taro breads, taro pies, taro mixed with sticky rice, taro chips, baked taro & my favorite, taro milk tea!
Taro is popular in Hawaii and in Southeast asia. Try it!
