Hello food by the ounces

{lunch from Whole Foods; ~$7.80} I decided to try eating at Whole Foods today. They have so many options available that can satisfy all types of craving. The highlight has to be their abundance and colorful dessert bar; you can get cupcakes, cakes, pastries, gourmet ch0colate, cookies, and many more! At this place, you take a box and fill it up to your heart's desire at the food bar. It is basically categorized in 2 section: Hot food and cold food. (They also have about 5 different soups). Once you fill your box- you then pay by the weight. I didn't get a lot of food- but the price quickly gets up there and I figured out why. If you get heavy pieces like artichokes or olives (food with water weight), it's weight very easily adds to the dollar. In fact, a lot of the food items are cut so big that without knowing it, you end up adding more weights to the box. I don't like my food in such big pieces. The salad was ok- nothing amazing. The veggie curry was also ok. The sauce was very watery (which I don't mind) but it is not very curry like. I actually had to add more salt to it! Do you think my meal above is worth $7.80? ($4 for salad and $3 for the curry/ rice)
